Year 7C had a great day out at Kenilworth Castle.

The children enjoyed exploring the remains of the castle and we used a lot of energy climbing up lots of stairs to the top of the Castle.

We also enjoyed having our lunch out in the grand surroundings.

Drama Workshop Monday 5th March 2018

On Monday Year 7C took part in a drama workshop in school. The cast acted out the story of Little Meerkat is in a panic.

During the story the ladies acted as different animals and showed the class strategies to help them when they feel in a panic too. All the children enjoyed the production and at the end they all joined in some physical activities together.

Curriculum Visit To Birmingham Central Mosque

We arrived at Birmingham Central Mosque ready for our tour at 10.30. We were welcomed in by a lovely man who asked us to remove our shoes and then we sat down on the carpet in the prayer hall. He explained to us about the Islamic faith. About the Qua'ran, fasting and how many times they pray each day. At times there can be up to 3000 people praying in the mosque at one time. The class were given a snack and a drink during our visit. One of our children mentioned they saw a beautiful chandelier in the Mosque too.

It was a very informative and enjoyable visit which gave the children a good insight into another faith.
