Art

Forest Oak’s Art scheme of work aims to inspire, challenge and encourage pupils to

develop their confidence to experiment and express their own imaginative works of art. Our

scheme of work is designed to give pupils every opportunity to develop their ability. To

nurture their talents and interests expressing ideas, values, feelings helping them to

develop their identity in different expressive and transferable ways.

We do this by offering a child centred approach to their learning providing new

opportunities to advance their skills and understanding using a range of different media and

materials. This includes drawing, painting, printing, collage, textiles, 3D work, and then in

KS4 and KS5 Graphic design Expressive Arts and Photography becomes available for our

pupils to take qualifications in.

At Forest Oak School, we inspire our pupils to reach their full potential and offer a

progressive, differentiated, high quality, inclusive and collaborative Art curriculum that

meets the needs of all our pupils, including helping them learn more about art culture,

heritage and the British lifestyle.
