At Forest Oak, our children are SCIENTISTS! We aim to give every child a comprehensive and balanced Science curriculum which enables them to confidently explore and discover what is around them, at a level which is accessible and appropriate for them as individuals so that they have a deeper understanding of the world we live in. We want our children to love science.

We have worked hard to create stimulating and challenging experiences to help every child secure and extend their scientific knowledge and vocabulary, as well as promoting a love and thirst for learning. With this in mind, we created a coherently planned and sequenced curriculum using Cornerstones Curriculum, which has been carefully designed and developed with the need of every child at the centre of what we do.

Scientific themes and concepts are introduced and explored in an age and stage-appropriate way and are returned to and built upon to promote knowledge that is remembered and skills that are embedded for a lifetime.
