We decided it would be a good idea to fill a time capsule and bury it in the school grounds for people in hundreds of years to hopefully find. We have wrote letters about ourselves, COVID 19, we have explained about how we are now living during the pandemic, lots of photographs have also been added to the capsule. We have all enjoyed this project
Mental Health Awareness Week 10th - 14th May 2021
We are doing lots of activities this week around Mental Health Awareness. The pupils were able to choose which activities they would like to do, these included a mindful nature walk, sowing sunflowers, painting activities, chatting in groups outside, cloud watching and kite flying.
Everyone chose a stone, painted them in bright colours and wrote a positive comment. We are then going to hide them around the school for other people to find and make them smile Let us know if you find one!
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week we planned a Nature walk to Meriden Park, we used our senses to listen to nature, fed the ducks and used the gym equipment at the park.
Our tasting session today was guessing the sauce flavours. They were cranberry and Brussel sprout flavoured!
Today we were trying different flavoured tea's & biscuits. We used our 5 senses to try and guess the flavours.
Food Tasting Lesson
Today we tasted lots of new foods, we then decided if we loved it, liked it or hated it!
We had 3 teams today Team Santa, Team Home Alone and Team Elf.
Mrs Mordey had the tough decision to judge our fantastic skills...…. watch out Mary Berry!!!!
