Lower school Morning fitness
We all know exercise is good for you so here at Forest Oak we run a daily 15 minutes fitness program. The aim of morning fitness is to improve the physical, social, emotional and wellbeing of our pupils regardless of age and ability. This can involve running, jumping, walking, dancing and yoga. This helps the pupils be ready for their learning and have fun before the school day begins.

Alex’s Football Coaching - Summer Fun Week 2019

There is going to be football couching for children from the ages of 2 to 14, there will be enjoyable activities and games for the children to play. They will be split in to ability, age and friends, you will need to bring plenty of drink and a packed lunch. You will need to fill in a form on arrival. The date is Monday 22nd till Friday 27th July from 10am to 3pm, on the Friday the children will have a presentation at 2pm where they will receive their trophy. Parents and friends can go to that event. It is £60 for the cost of summer fun, £40 for subsequent brothers and sisters and £15 for individual daily rate, you will also need to book a place by texting your child’s name and Summer 19 Kingshurst to 07758752033. To secure your place payments made via bank transfer as places are limited.

Castle Bromwich

There is going to be a Summer Fete on Saturday 29th June from 10am - 2pm. You will find all different stalls, games, live music, a raffle, tombola, face painting, tea, coffee, food and lots more. This is free entry.

 

Water Orton

The CMM Choir present 'From Pharaoh to Freedom' by Rogan Jones. This is a story about the Jewish Passover story, when Moses lead the Israelites from Pharaoh to freedom. On Sunday 16th June at 6:00pm and there is no charge to watch the show.

There is going to be a Bake-off and Fun Day, celebrating Pentecost - The Church's Birthday on Sunday 9th June from 3pm to 6pm. There is going to be crafts stuff, a bouncy castle, games, there is going to be a creative prayer and music all for free. Enter the 'Bring-a-cake-bake-off' competition at 4pm, this years theme is CHOCOLATE. For judging is kids up to age 15 and adult judging 16+.

Shard End

There is going to be a summer fair on Saturday 15th June from 10am - 12noon. You will find crafts and cards, Bric-a-Brac, Jewellery, plants, refreshments, jams, cakes, Tombola and lots more. It is free admission, this is set up next to the library.

Star City

There is going to be a Summer Special 2 day football showcase, it is £50 for the two days with is going to be held on 6th and 7th August at Goals Star City, Birmingham. On the first day it will be dribbling, goal keeping, passing and receiving, also a video analysis session. The second day is shooting, tournament and penalty shootout. There is going to be Premier league academy scouts and coaches attending, it is for children from the ages of 5 to 12 years old.

Solihull and Touchwood Events

At the Olton Tavern, there is going to be a Music festival and Fun day on Saturday 22nd June from 2pm til 9pm. There will be live singers, disco, craft stalls, bouncy castle, tombola, food and a kids movie room.

Birmingham Events

In Brindley place are holding a film festival where you can sit outside for free to watch a film. This is being hold from 15th July to 21st July. Here are some of the films that are going to be there:
