The Secret Garden Project.
The Secret Garden Project is based at Shustoke Hall near Coleshill and is an Accredited SEN Rural Learning Centre for all ASDAN and BTEC qualifications.
The facilities encompass many animals including ponies, donkeys, pigs, geese, chickens etc., and a large array of therapy animals. There is a kitchen classroom, art rooms, vegetable gardens and poly tunnels, the Secret Garden run a complete soil to table ethos.
Year 11 students attend the project one day a week and can choose from subjects that help with confidence, self-awareness and independent living skills. These include topics that range from horticulture and animal care to handling your finances to Bush Craft. The Secret Garden is an all-weather and all ability provision and enables the students to experience both individual and group learning in a controlled yet free learning environment.
